JRPG Astria Ascending is Headed to PC and Consoles Later This Year

Astria Ascending

The ID@Xbox Twitch Gaming Showcase on Friday showed off some incredible games.

One of the more exciting announcements was the reveal of Astria Ascending, a new JRPG whose story has been developed in part by Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy VII Remake writer Kazushige Nojima. It also features art from CyDesignation with a score from Hitoshi Sakimoto (Final Fantasy XII, Vagrant Story).

In Astria Ascending, chaos threatens to take over. You control Demigods – eight to be exact – who have been tasked with changing the fate of their world.

Each character that you play has their own story which players will discover as they venture through the Orcanon’s 25 dungeons and diverse cities. Players will have to master the game’s combat in strategic turn-based battles using a focus point system. It will have over 30 hours of gameplay and dozens of side quests and mini-games.

Astria Ascending will release on PC, Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox Ones sometime in 2021. It’ll also be available via Xbox Game Pass.
