Square Enix Will Showcase a New Life is Strange and More

Square Enix Showcase

Square Enix have announced an online showcase that will, amongst other things, feature a new Life is Strange game.

The showcase is scheduled to take place Thursday March 18th, on Square’s Twitch and YouTube channels. The Square Enix Showcase will reveal the next game in the Life is Strange series, featuring “an all-new protagonist wielding an exciting new power.” We’re always up for more Life is Strange though, honestly, we’d settle for a five episode series based around Chloe and Max’s wedding.

On top of Life is Strange, the showcase will also feature:

  • Outriders
  • Balan Wonderworld
  • Marvel’s Avengers (we’re wondering if Square will address the newly escalated grind)
  • More Tomb Raider 25th anniversary shenanigans
  • Just Cause Mobile
  • Additional announcements from Square Enix Montreal and sister company TAITO.

Hang on, TAITO? Yes, that TAITO. We’re actually almost excited for this as we are for Life is Strange. We have fond memories of TAITO’s back-catalogue and we’d kill to get a full HD remake of Rainbow Islands or, even better, an HD remake of the entire Bub and Bob trilogy.

You can find out more by watching Square Enix’s Showcase this Thursday 18th March.

Weekend Editor // Chris has been gaming since the days of the Acorn Electron, which was allegedly purchased to 'help him with his homework'. You can probably guess how well that went. He’ll tackle most genres – football titles aside – though he has a taste for games that that are post-apocalyptic, horror-oriented or thought provoking in nature.
