BAFTA-Nominated Before I Forget is Coming to Switch and Xbox Next Week

Before I Forget

Released on PC back in July 2020, Before I Forget is a touching narrative adventure that explores the reality of Alzheimer’s Disease.

Nominated in the ‘Game Beyond Entertainment’ category for this year’s BAFTA awards, Before I Forget has been praised for how it presents such a difficult topic. And if you haven’t yet managed to play it on PC, we’ve got good news. It’s releasing on Switch and Xbox next week, 29th April.

Before I Forget places you in the shoes of Sunita, a woman who has been diagnosed with early onset dementia. You’ll spend your time wandering around Sunita’s home, looking at photographs, notes and other memorabilia. Each item holds a memory for Sunita, though each memory is now faded and fragmented. But as you explore more of her house you’ll gradually piece together her story, understanding more about her life.

It’s a short experience, lasting only around an hour, but thanks to the subject matter, it’s a really powerful one. If you’re a fan of narrative-driven exploration games, then ensure you keep Before I Forget on your radar.

Kim's been into video games since playing Dizzy on her brother's Commodore 64 as a wee nipper. She'll give just about anything a go, but she's got a soft spot for story-driven adventures and open world escapades. If she's not gaming, she's probably cooing over pictures of baby animals or watching re-runs of Friends for the 137th time.
