Farming Simulator 2022 Will Arrive Later This Year

Farming Simulator 2022

Farming Simulator 2022 will be giving the agricultural sim series an update later this year.

And we do mean update; taking a leaf out of Fifa’s book, Farming Simulator 2022 looks set to be a significant update but not a colossal overhaul. But the good news, with a total lack of microtransactions or gambling mechanics, you don’t have to worry about getting your credit card statement and finding your son’s spent £7,000 on virtual wheat.

Farming Simulator 2022 will feature three new maps, including a snowy alpine one, 400 new machines and 100 actual agricultural brands. But what really intrigues us is the additional of season cycles; we’re hoping that there’s some actual variety year to year, so one year you might have a mild winter, another a devastatingly cold winter that risks costing you everything.

New crops also, er, crop up, and there are a range of other tweaks. There’s no concrete release date but Farming Simulator 2022 will arrive in the last quarter of the year. It’ll be available on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, Playstation 5, Playstation 4 and even Stadia. You can check out the teaser trailer below but you’ll have to wait if you want to see anything more substantial.

Weekend Editor // Chris has been gaming since the days of the Acorn Electron, which was allegedly purchased to 'help him with his homework'. You can probably guess how well that went. He’ll tackle most genres – football titles aside – though he has a taste for games that that are post-apocalyptic, horror-oriented or thought provoking in nature.
