Both Rage 2 and its predecessor Rage are perfect for fans of games like Fallout 4. Rage 2 puts you in the shoes of protagonist Walker, tasked with surviving a mutant-inhabited world following a collision with an asteroid. All semblance of green in the world is completely gone and has been replaced by nothing but desert and stuffy cities. And the citizens you come across aren’t always the friendliest.
Rage 2’s combat is fast-paced, but quick to pick up. There’s also different types of cars that you can drive and a large load out of weapon options. Like Fallout 4, you can explore the world freely, but there’s also a pretty linear story to follow if you’d rather. Still, you’ll get more out of the game if you wander off the beaten path and choose to do some looting. It’s not as long or as big as Fallout 4, but captures much of the same feeling. It’s well worth picking up.
