Everything you do in Biomutant is narrated by a narrator. Find it irritating? You can turn it (almost) off. Here’s how.
Rather than having a huge cast of voice actors, Biomutant has opted for a single narrator. He narrates other characters’ dialogue, as well as give general feedback and observations as you play through the game. Sometimes it’s useful, but sometimes his perpetual commentary can get annoying. There is good news, though: you can adjust how frequent the narrator speaks.
To adjust the narrator in Biomutant, you need to head into the options. Press the ‘options’ button on your controller, then navigate to ‘System’. In the System menu, go to ‘Settings’.
Once you’re in the Settings menu, use your right shoulder button to navigate to the ‘Audio’ tab. If you scroll down, you’ll see a category called ‘Frequency’, and a ‘Narrator’ option in there.
By default, the narrator is set to be ’50’ frequency – so halfway between “extremely frequent” and “not at all frequent”. Turn it all the way down to zero to massively reduce how often the narrator speaks. Save your settings, and back out of the menu.
Alternatively, if you love hearing the narrator talk in Biomutant, you can turn it all the way up to ‘100’. We haven’t dared try this ourselves, but we imagine he’ll talk a lot.
