Nintendo Adds Five New Titles to the NES & SNES Collection

Nintendo has added four SNES games and one NES games to its retro collection.

Apart from being able to play games competitive online, Nintendo Switch Online subscribers also get access to a slowly growing collection of NES and SNES games, also playable offline. Now, Nintendo has added a total of five new titles to those on offer.

Despite demand,  The games that, as of now, have been added to the service are:

  • Super Baseball Simulator 1.000 (SNES)
  • Caveman Ninja (SNES)
  • Magical Drop 2 (SNES)
  • Spanky’s Quest (SNES)
  • Ninja JaJaMaru-kun (NES)

Caveman Ninja is the title we’re most likely to dive into. Magical Drop 2 is tempting, but we’ve already played Puzzle Bobble to death. The rest are okay-ish, but there’s nothing here that qualifies as a must-play.

What’s curious is that there are some titles, Super Mario RPG included, that were on the SNES Mini but have yet to materialise on the service. With SNES Minis going for silly prices, it’s easier to download it as a rom than actually give Nintendo money to play it, no matter how much you might want to.

So, if you’re a Nintendo Online subscriber and you’ve played everything else to death, these new additions could be worth a look.
