Two Brand New Games Lead June’s PS Plus Line-Up

PS Plus June 2021

Sony’s PS Plus offerings just keep getting better.

June is another good month if you’re a PS Plus subscriber. Whether you have a PS5 or PS4, you’re getting a brand new game. Heck, if you’ve got a PS5, you’re getting two brand new games. And one further excellent title.

This month’s PS5-only game is Operation: Tango. Though it’ll be available on PS4 and PS5 to buy, only the PS5 version will be available via PS Plus. It’ll be available on the day it launches (1st June). Like the recent It Takes TwoOperation: Tango is a co-op only game. You’ll need to team up with a friend online and work together as a pair of spies. It sounds fascinating, and we can’t wait to try it.

On PS4 and PS5, another brand new game is Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown. Well, “brand new” is not technically true since this is a remaster of an old classic. But this Ultimate Showdown version will be available on day one via PS Plus. It’ll also be available via PS Now.

Finally, Star Wars: Squadrons, the dogfighting game set in the Star Wars universe will also be available via PS Plus in June. This one’s a bit of a disappointment if you also subscribe EA Play (since it’s included there). But if you don’t, it’s an excellent game worth adding to your library.

All three games will be available via PS Plus on 1st June. Star Wars: Squadrons and Operation: Tango will be available until 5th July. You’ll have an extra month to claim Virtua Fighter 5; it’ll remain part of PS Plus until 2nd August.

If you’re yet to claim May’s free games, you’ve still got time. Log on to your console to claim Battlefield V, Stranded Deep and Wreckfest before Monday 31st May.
