Microsoft have announced there’ll be a 90 minute Xbox and Bethesda show this June.
Let’s face it, after Microsoft acquired Bethesda it was a given that the two were going to be co-operating. Head of Xbox Phil Spencer has all but confirmed future Bethesda games (where a contractual agreement doesn’t already exist) will appear on Xbox and PC only.
This new show, dubbed the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase, should let us see what they’ve been working on and hopefully reveal a release date or two. We’ll almost certainly get an extended look at both Starfield and Deathloop and quite possibly another teaser video to remind us that The Elder Scrolls series exists, though don’t count on a full Elder Scrolls announcement. Here at GameSpew, we’re hoping against hope for news of a Fallout New Vegas remaster.
So is this an E3 thing? Technically, no. The announcement makes no mention of the online expo, but that hasn’t stopped both E3 and Summer Games Fest from implying the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase falls under their umbrella. Someone should probably tell them.
