It’s opposite day in the land of Ender Lilies.
That’s not an official statement from publishers Binary Haze Interactive, but the release of Ender Lilies Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X incarnation has come out of nowhere. It was the PlayStation 4 and 5 version that was scheduled to drop around now, with the Xbox version arriving later in 2021. So what’s going on?
According to the official Ender Lilies Twitter account, the PlayStation version has hit “unexpected technical difficulties”. Instead of arriving on July 6th as originally planned, it will instead be released during the third quarter of 2021. So right now, it’s currently available on PC, Nintendo Switch or Xbox.
Still, that’s three platforms you can grab this gorgeous gothic Metroidvania on. We reviewed the game last week, calling it “A magical outing that will have you hooked until the Blight is nothing but a bad memory.” We would have liked each weapon to have more than just one basic attack but we still got a real kick out of exploring its world, dispatching some really impressive bosses and letting the haunting soundtrack fill our ears.
Ender Lilies is available digitally on Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X and PC via Steam.
