Greedfall is getting a next-gen console upgrade, ensuring that rampant colonialism has never looked better.
Because, let’s face it, that’s what’s going on in this action RPG. A range of factions, including your own have decided to “claim” the island of Teer Fradee, despite it already being occupied by multiple tribes of Native American analogues. Our main criticism of the game was that, even though you’re sent there to do the same, your character gets off lightly.
That grumble aside, we’re definitely up for more Greedfall and we’re happy to hear that it’s getting not only a new expansion but also an Xbox Series S/X and PlayStation 5 upgrade. The latter is free to those who already own the game on Xbox or PS4 but the expansion pack is, as you might expect, paid DLC.
The expansion, which will also be bundled into a Gold edition of Greedfall, is dubbed The De Vespe Conspiracy and will see you facing off against a new, villainous faction. It’ll also include new monsters though, going by other RPG expansion, those could be brand new beasts or reskins of existing ones.
Greedfall: The De Vespe Conspiracy (also available on PC) and Greedfall’s next-gen upgrade will both arrive this June 30th.
