Like all Ratchet & Clank games, Rift Apart has a huge number of weapons to obtain.
Most of the weapons found in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart can simply be purchased from Mrs. Zurkon as you make your way through the game. To get the game’s ultimate weapon, however, known as the Ryno 8, you need to do some legwork.
The Ryno 8 is a powerful weapon that opens up a portal to another dimension when used. You might have seen Insomniac Games tweeting about it on Twitter, showing that it can often bring objects from other games such as Horizon Zero Dawn into Rift Apart‘s world. And when those objects fall to the ground, they cause massive damage to the enemies below.
To unlock the Ryno 8 in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, you first need to find all of the Ryno bots hidden in the game. There’s generally one to find on each planet, and doing so is made much easier if you complete the optional Treasure Hunt quest found at the Pirate Base on Ardolis. Complete the quest and you’ll obtain a map, which shows the location of the Ryno bots on the map, as well as golden bolts and pieces of equipment.
Once you have all of the Ryno bots, simply pay a visit to the nearest Mrs. Zurkon and you’ll find the Ryno 8 weapon waiting for you. Even better, you don’t have to pay anything for it. Being an ultimate weapon, however, you’ll find that you can’t fire it many times before needing to find ammo.
