Get ready for a new Need for Speed game, available to play via EA Play.
Released in November 2020, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered is a polished-up version of one of our favourite Need for Speed Games. Hot Pursuit was originally released on PS3 and Xbox One, but this remastered version brings it up to date with better textures and higher resolutions. Essentially, it’s better than ever. If you’re yet to play it, we’ve got good news: it’ll be available via EA Play from tomorrow.
If you’re a subscriber to EA Play on PlayStation, Xbox or PC, or a Game Pass Ultimate member on Xbox, you’ll be able to play Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered at no extra cost. It becomes the fifth Need for Speed game on the service, joining Rivals, Need for Speed, Payback and Heat. Is it the best of the lot? It might just be.
When we reviewed Hot Pursuit Remastered back in November, here’s what we had to say:
If you fondly remember Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit from back in the day and fancy another crack at it, this remaster won’t disappoint one bit. And if you’ve never played it before and fancy a racing experience that’s a little more old-fashioned and focused, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered should be considered a must-have. One of the best Need for Speed games ever made has been on the receiving end of the remaster treatment, making its cops versus racers gameplay more enjoyable and stunning to look at than ever. What’s not to love about that?
If that doesn’t make you want to jump into it, we don’t know what will. If you’re an EA Play/Xbox Game Pass Ultimate member already, make sure you add it to your library tomorrow.
