Thrustmaster has unveiled a new steering wheel themed around the Gran Turismo series.
Compatible with PS4, PS5 and PC, the Thrustmaster T-GT II is a heavy duty wheel and pedal set that features real-time drift curve calculation and low latency. It has a “T-40VE brushless motor that provides highly-precise force feedback and consistent torque throughout races” and..
Okay, we could be here all day quoting Thrustmaster’s tech specs, which you can read for yourself here. But important thing is that this looks to be a really, really professional piece of kit. It’s not just that it sports the Gran Turismo branding; this is for the kind of people who take their racing games very seriously.
If you’ve ever considered building a life-size driver’s seat and dashboard in your spare room, maybe even sawing the front end off a wreck, for authenticity’s sake, this is for you. Yes, you could play Euro Truck Simulator 2 with it, but we doubt you’d be getting the full benefit.
Not convinced? Maybe the price will persuade you just how hardcore this kit is. The T-GT II isn’t widely available yet, but Thrustmaster’s French outlet has it listed for €749,99 which is about £640 or $900.
If you’re so serious about Gran Turismo it makes your eyes bleed, the T-GT II could be worth the wallet-emptying price. As for us? It’s a little out of our price range.
