Have you ever wanted to know more about clowns? Dead by Daylight – Tome VIII: Deliverance has you covered.
Or, to be specific, one particular clown, since this asymmetric multiplayer slash-em-up’s latest chunk of story content reveals the backstory of Jeffrey Hawk aka The Clown. The unlockable tale will reveal the tragic backstory that turned Jeffrey into one of the game’s 24 (count ’em) killers.
Clown-based revelations aside, Tome VIII will also add new challenges, including a new glyph challenge. You have to hunt down the glyphs but the catch is there’s a skill challenge; fail and the glyph teleports elsewhere, so if you find yourself fumbling the generators a lot you could be in trouble.
Then there are new costumes for Nea Karlsson and The Hillbilly, alongside The Clown and other characters. None of these costumes alter how the game plays but it’s a nice touch, particularly since since of some of these costumes have to be earned.
Dead by Daylight: Tome VIII: Deliverance is available now for PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC. It’ll arrive on the Nintendo Switch with a later update.
