Wales Interactive’s next FMV game is only a couple of weeks away.
Night Book is set to release on PC and consoles on 27th July. Featuring full motion video scenes which players can interact with, it tells the tale of Loralyn, a foreign language translator who works from home. With action playing out from behind her computer screen, you’ll follow her as she goes down a dark path when she translates a mysterious ancient language.
We previewed Night Book last month, when its demo was available as part of Steam Next Fest. Playing through the opening chapter of the game, we were instantly hooked. The game sets up an eerie premise, and it left us keen to find out what will happen to Loralyn – and her seemingly deranged father who lives with her. Needless to say, not everything is as it seems, and things will get very dark. The demo is still available to try over on Steam.
If you’re a fan of FMV games, then Night Book is certainly one to keep your eye on. And Wales Interactive is no stranger to the genre. The company has previously worked on The Complex, The Bunker, The Shapeshifting Detective and more; all games we’ve rated very highly here on GameSpew.
Night Book will be available from 27th July on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and iOS. Practically any device you can imagine, then.
