On the first day of week 2 in Neo: The World Ends With You, you’ll find yourself in a new area of Shibuya – and with a riddle to solve. Here’s what you need to know.
As always, the Reaper guarding the gate to the next area doesn’t want to let you through without first making you work for it. Rather than engage in combat, this time you’ll need to solve three riddles. Here are the riddles given to you on day 1 of week 2 in Neo: The World Ends With You:
- The door will open when the mannequin reveals its stylish side
- The key will reveal itself overhead when the vending machine takes the six designated digits
- Capture differing poses with your comrades in a photo sticker. Today’s journey shall serve as your key
Hmm. They sound very cryptic, but thankfully they’re not too time-consuming to solve – and everything you need is in the immediate area. Here’s what you need to do.
The door will open when the mannequin reveals its stylish side
If you’ve had a wander around the area already, you’ll know there’s a mannequin outside one of the shops on a sidestreet. But you can’t do anything with it just yet.
First, interact with the crowd gathering outside Wonderful. Go down the side street, interact with the mannequin, then look at the person standing to the side. Scan the person – it’s model Kashiki in disguise. Use ‘remind’ (press R2 then square), and solve the puzzle by rotating your left and right thumbsticks. Once you’ve done that, go back to the crowd at Wonderful and interact with it again. The crowd will now move, revealing a model they were crowding around.
Go back to the mannequin – you need to select the clothing items to match the model. Click the ripped blue jeans, beige jacket and red hat. That’s it – you’re done with this riddle.

Head up to the top of the screen and look at the digital sign – could this be the ‘overhead’ that the riddle refers to? Either way, it’s broken; you’ll need to enter the mind of the handyman standing at the side to get him to fix it.
On the screen, you’ll see a series of shapes. A triangle has a number ‘3’ underneath it, a square has a ‘4’ beneath it, but the rest are blank:
You’ll need to fill in the blanks – it seems the numbers represent how many sides each shape has, so the sequence of numbers you need is as follows: 354640
Head to the vending machine in the area, and press the buttons corresponding to each of those numbers in order. And that’s it – two parts of the riddle down. Just one to go.

This one is very easy, though you can’t do it until you’ve completed the other two parts of the riddle. Notice how a black cat icon has been frequently appearing? Turns out you need to mimic the poses that you’ve seen it in. Don’t worry – all you need to do is head to the marker which leads you to the photo booth. The game will automatically do the rest.
