CD Projekt Red Has Partially Detailed Cyberpunk 2077’s 1.3 Update

Cyberpunk 2077’s new update is on the way and developers CD Projekt Red have given us an idea of what to expect.

Cyberpunk 2077, in case you were fortunate enough to miss the kerfuffle, was launched in a less than perfect state. While there were a few bugs on other platforms (our experience was relatively unhindered) it was the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions that were most problematic. They suffered from performance issues, so much so that, until recently, the Playstation 4 version of this futuristic action RPG was removed from Sony’s online store.

Now, several patches later, Cyberpunk 2077 is better than it was and developers CD Projekt Red are reading Patch 1.3 to be deployed across all platforms. It looks as if the company has moved on from performance fixes to addressing interface and gameplay issues, going by the information they’ve revealed on their website.

The three changes CD Projekt Red have revealed are that, as of 1.3:

  • When you’re driving, the minimap will show a little more of the road around you.
  • You’ll be able to reset all your perks, giving you the perk points back, though this will cost money.
  • When you visit Clouds, a Cyberpunk 2077 “dollhouse” (basically, a brothel), Angel and Skyes pictures will stay on screen longer than before.

The latter might seem like an odd change, but it has to do with people grumbling that they ended up with the wrong “doll”. Players were choosing Angel, because they saw it as a feminine name and ending up with a male doll. We’re faintly disappointed by this change because, when we first heard about the “confusion” it had us laughing like a drain.

There will be other changes; you can expect CD Projekt Red to reveal the full patch notes at a later date. We’ll keep you updated when we hear more.
