Crusader Kings III is Bringing Medieval Strategy to Consoles

Crusader Kings III is coming to consoles, bringing with it the chance to marry, conquer and back-stab your way to power.

Or, if you’re Ned Stark, you can make terrible decisions that will end up with your head being divorced from your shoulders. Either way, you can engage in all sorts of medieval shenanigans with a controller in your hands. And, if you’ve got Xbox Game Pass you’ll be able to play it for free on the day of release.

We reviewed the PC version of Crusader Kings III (also available through Xbox Game Pass) when it was released last year, calling it “everything fans of the series could have hoped for – and more,” giving it a massive 10 out of 10. The Game of Thrones style elements lend the game much of its appeal, making marriages and murder an important part of staying on the throne. It also helps that, while history can unfold in some very different ways, it’s set in the real world, albeit in the medieval era.

There’s no release date as yet but, bypassing the last generation of consoles, Crusader Kings III will arrive on the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.
