Playing cyberpunk action-adventure Foreclosed and wondering how to save you game? Here’s what you need to know.
Let’s cut straight to the chase: you can’t save your game in Foreclosed. Well, not manually anywhere. There’s nowhere in the options where you can choose to save your game. You have to rely on an automatic save function, that saves your progress at random intervals.
The problem is, these random intervals aren’t always made clear to you – especially when you’re in the middle of combat. We’ve typically found that if your guide starts speaking to you (via your controller’s speaker, if you’re playing on PlayStation), that usually indicates a checkpoint. If you’ve well and truly cleared a specific encounter, then you’re probably safe to quit.
But sometimes, you may end up needing to backtrack a little. Even if you’ve been given XP after clearing a wave of enemies, there may be more to come; it doesn’t necessarily mean there’s a checkpoint. If you die in these sections, you’ll have to start the whole fight all over again, and the same will be true if you choose to quit the game at that point.
So choose carefully where you decide to quit, and simply hope that Foreclosed has saved in the right place. It’s the best you can do.
