Wondering how to save your game in Psychonauts 2? You’re not alone – here’s what you need to know.
Being a rather sizable game, it’s undoubtedly important to you that you save your progress in Psychonauts 2 regularly. After all, you don’t want to lose any progress. So – how do you save?
Here’s the bad news: you cannot save your game in Psychonauts 2. There’s no way to manually save your progress. The game relies entirely on autosaves. However, that’s not the end of the world.
It seems that Psychonauts 2 automatically saves your progress regularly. If you head into the game’s menu and select the ‘quit’ option, you’ll be given a dialog box which tells you how long it’s been since the last save. The time’s in seconds and minutes, so if it says “2:00” you know it’s been two minutes since the last save.
Psychonauts 2 seems to save every time you enter a new area, complete an enemy encounter or gain a new skill, so we reckon it’ll overwrite the autosave after every few minutes. Check the timer on the quit option, and if it’s more than a few minutes, simply run around a bit more then check again. Not having a manual save option is annoying, granted, but at least you don’t have to worry too much about forgetting to save.
