Jumping into Assassin’s Creed Valhalla‘s latest DLC, Siege of Paris? Here’s everything you need to know about getting started.
The latest DLC pack is now available in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and this one sees Eivor head to France. Or the kingdom of Francia, as it’s known at the time. The kingdom has unified under a single ruler for the first time in a hundred years. But now, Charles the Fat is waging war against the Norse in Francia, and England could be next. Needless to say, Eivor must make allies in Francia to stop that from happening. But first, you need to start the DLC. How do you do that?
You can’t start Siege of Paris straight away if you’re jumping into Valhalla for the first time. You need to have progressed through the main campaign until the point where you’ve created your settlement in England. If you have the Siege of Paris DLC installed, you’ll then be alerted be sent a letter from Randvi, informing you that some visitors from France have arrived – they’ve even built you a new guesthouse.
You’ll need to speak to a female warrior called Toka to set wheels in motion for beginning the Siege of Paris DLC. You’ll find her at the new guesthouse in your settlement. Make it easier for yourself by tracking the ‘Strangers Bearing Gifts’ quest under the new Francia tab in the quests menu.
After talking to Toka and watching the cutscene that follows, the quest will be completed. The next quest is ‘To Francia’, which you start by talking to Pierre, would just be in the building behind you when the cutscene ends. You’ll then travel to Francia.
Just be aware that it’s recommended you have a power level of 200 in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla before you start the Siege of Paris questline. So, chances are you shouldn’t attempt it until you’ve made significant progress in the game’s campaign.
