Evil Genius 2, a strategy game that challenges you to run a criminal organisation, is coming to consoles.
Evil Genius 2 first launched on the PC back in March, with several items of downloadable content dropping since then. We reviewed it at the time, calling it “A must-play for fans of the genre”. Now, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X owners will get their chance to create their own sinister empire.
There’s no word of a Switch release yet, but we wouldn’t be surprised if Evil Genius 2, or Evil Genius 2: World Domination to give the game its full title, made its way to that platform. The original Evil Genius was released back in 2004, when console-based strategy games were a little lesson common but it seems entirely sensible to port this Goldfinger-style game to the aforementioned platforms.
Aside from featuring a character voiced by Brian Blessed, which is almost reason enough to buy the game, the additional DLC has introduced other henchmen and bosses including former Bond star Samantha, er, Bond, as robo-chair riding Emma. She will, however, be present in the console version from the the word go.
Evil Genius 2’s console incarnation doesn’t have a solid release date yet but it’s set to arrive some time later this year.
