Rider’s Republic’s beta is taking place this August, kicking off in a couple of weeks.
The extreme sports game was originally pencilled in for a February release but, after a couple of delays, is now set to arrive this October 28th. The final game will feature an offline mode (though the beta won’t) but the focus is very much on multiplayer, whether you’re trying to out-do a friend or participating in races with other players.
The beta will be available from the 23rd to the 25th of August and will feature a “glimpse” of three careers, Bike Races, Snow Tricks and Air Sports. It’ll also have mass races with up to 50 players, 6v6 trick battles, a free for all challenge mode and a versus mode. It’ll be available on Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, PC, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
So how do you get into the beta? Surprisingly, pre-ordering Riders Republic does not guarantee you access, though being a member of Ubisoft+ does. The way to apply is through Ubisoft’s website, here. You’ll need a Ubisoft account, though you can create one for free, fill in your details and wait.
Ubisoft will then invite people to participate; it’s not clear how they’ll select people, whether it’s random or so forth. What is clear is that they don’t want you talking, posting or streaming about the beta, as they state:
“Riders Republic Beta is under NDA. Selected players are therefore not allowed to talk, post or create content around the game for now.”
If you feel like taking the plunge (and testing your luck), you can apply for Riders Republic’s beta right now. The beta will start on August 23 at 7am UTC and end on August 25 at 4pm UTC. Or if you’re prepared to wait, and there are no additional delays, you’ll be able to play it on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, Google Stadia and Amazon Luna this October 28th.
