Tales of Arise is a stunning game, so you may be wondering if it has a photo mode. Well, does it? Here’s what you need to know.
Let’s cut to the chase. Unfortunately, the answer is no, Tales of Arise does not have a photo mode. It’s a shame, because a game this beautiful deserves to be captured in the best possible way.
All is not lost, however. No matter what format you’re playing on, you can still capture your screen by using your PC or console’s built-in capture features. It just means you don’t have the same amount of freedom to frame a shot, add filters and various other effects. But there are still some stunning scenes to be screenshotted.
If you’re playing on PS4 or PS5, simply press the ‘capture’ button on your controller. On Xbox Series X/S, you can also press the new capture button. On Xbox One, you’ll need to press the Xbox button, then press ‘Y’ to capture your screen (don’t worry; it doesn’t capture the dashboard menu). If you’re on Windows and playing with an Xbox controller, you can also press the Xbox button to access screenshot features.
Hopefully if it’s requested enough, Bandai Namco may add in a photo mode to Tales of Arise in a future patch. After all, it’s not unheard of for games to get a photo mode later on in their lifetimes. It would be a shame if this never got one, because if we’ve not already mentioned it, this game looks beautiful. Oh, we have already mentioned it? Okay. As you were, then.
