5Borderlands Legendary Collection
Borderlands Legendary Collection is a bit different from the other games on this list, in that while it’s still an action RPG filled with mountains of loot, it’s played from a first-person perspective. Also, it’s focused on shooting guns rather than slashing with melee weapons or blasting enemies with magic.
Actually three games in one, Borderlands Legendary Collection bundles up the original Borderlands along with two of its sequels; Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. That means you get three brilliant looter-shooters for the price of one, and they’re all very much worth playing. Each game offers its own band of vault hunters for you to control, and presents a story that has them making their way through numerous environments filled with quests. And of course, along the way there are countless enemies to defeat as well as items to loot.
Will Borderlands 3 ever come to Switch, completing the series so far? Probably, at some point. Until then, make a start on these. Being a trio of the best loot-based games on Switch, you’ll definitely have a good time, and there’s plenty to sink your teeth into. Just be careful if you buy a physical copy pre-owned, as not all games are included on the cartridge.
