Death’s Door is getting a PlayStation and Switch release this November, following on from its PC and Xbox release.
That’s the first bit of good news, revealed at yesterday’s PlayStation State of Play. The second bit of good news is, even though Death’s Door casts you as a soul-reaping crow, we’re going to make it through the rest of this article without any bird puns. No mention of “winging it”, “getting in a flap” or “for the birds” and so forth. Honest.
We reviewed this isometric action-adventure in July, awarding it an 8 out of 10 and concluding that, while roaming around dispatching enemies is fun, it’s the boss battles that really make Death’s Door stand out. After all, this is a game where you fight a cathedral. No, that’s not a typo, we don’t mean that you fight in a cathedral – you literally fight a cathedral that tries to murder you with laser beams.
Death’s Door is hitting the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch this November 23rd. In fact, with Undungeon arriving November 18th it’s fast becoming the month for black-clad, bird-faced protagonists. That really could be something to crow about.
Sorry.
