If you’re thinking of picking up Back 4 Blood and are worried about how active its online community may be, you might be wondering if it has cross-platform play.
The good new is that Back 4 Blood does indeed have cross-platform play, or crossplay as it’s also known. So no matter what format you buy it on, your chances of finding a match are pretty good.
Back 4 Blood is available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC, and users of all consoles can play together. The game’s also included in the Xbox Game Pass lineup at launch, allowing many gamers to ay it without spending an additional penny.
Crossplay is seamless in Back 4 Blood, meaning you don’t have to do anything special to play with others on alternative formats; you just need to ensure that crossplay is enabled. You’ll be asked if you want it turned on when you first start playing, and can toggle it on and off after that point by going into the preferences menu on the ‘Play’ tab.
With crossplay enabled, just search for a game, and you’ll be matched up with others, with their format displayed at the side of their name. Just be aware that if you want to play with friends on different formats, you’ll have to share your username. You’ll find that in the social section of the pause menu.
