Gungrave G.O.R.E.’s latest trailer shows off the ridiculous claret-splattered shoot-em-up’s gameplay.
It kicks off with footage from the previous trailer, but then segues into another sequence where grimdark protagonist Grave is briefed by his boss but is either too cool or too big a bellend to turn around to look at her. But then, the trailer takes it up a notch and gives a look at the Gungrave G.O.R.E. in action and, it has to be said, it’s left us wanting more.
It’s also left us wondering what sort of damage Grave is doing to his spine and collar bones with that massive gun he has hanging off his shoulders, but mostly we were transfixed by all the gun ballet. Not content to just shoot enemies in the face, Grave spins around, adopting some gloriously daft poses. Maybe someone told him Equilibrium was a documentary, but it does look very cool in action.
The trailer also features glimpse of Bunji Kugashira who, looking like a mash-up of Spike Spiegel and John Constantine, is from the Gungrave anime. He looks set to be a playable character, though whether he’s actually a part of the story or just a model you can swap Grave out for remains to be seen.
There’s still no solid release date, but we do know that Gungrave G.O.R.E. will hit PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC some time during 2022.
