How long does it take to beat Diablo 2: Resurrected? That’s a question that is very tricky to answer.
With five acts to play through, seven character classes to choose from – each very much different from another, and online co-op to consider, the time to beat Diablo 2: Resurrected will vary a lot from player to player. Some players mighty blast through the game on Normal difficulty in about ten hours, but it could take others up to thirty.
And then there are the additional difficulties to consider. Completing the game on Normal difficulty unlocks Nightmare, and then completing that unlocks Hell. Both have additional twists that make the gameplay more engaging, and new items become available as well. We honestly don’t consider Diablo 2: Resurrected to be completed until Hell difficulty has been conquered, and that can take up to 100 hours or even more.
Ultimately, it all depends on how you play and what you consider ‘beating’ Diablo 2: Resurrected to mean. Getting all of its achievements or trophies, for example, will take hundreds of hours, as it requires players to complete Hell difficulty with each available character class, as well as reach level 99 with a Hardcore character. Needless to say, some might have had their fill of Diablo 2: Resurrected after just tens of hours, but others will still be playing it after hundreds or even thousands of hours.
