Want to get your hands and eyes on Elden Ring before it releases? Here’s how.
Alongside the news that Elden Ring has been delayed by a month, Bandai Namco has also revealed details of an upcoming Closed Network Test. It’s not exactly designed to be a demo of the game; network tests are intended to test the integrity of a game’s online functions. But of course, it’s also the first time anyone will get a chance to experience gameplay of the long-awaited title.
Elden Ring is in development by FromSoftware and, for all intents and purposes, is a follow-up to the Dark Souls series. It was officially announced this summer during E3, but rumours had been circulating long before, making this something of along-awaited title.
And as such, the Closed Network Test will undoubtedly be an exciting prospect for Soulsborne fans. Not everyone will be able to take part – you’ll first need to register your interest, and selected players will be granted access between 12th and 15th November. It’ll allow players access to the opening houses of the game along with the ability to test out cross-gen multiplayer.
To register, head to www.eldenring.com/cnt. You’ll need to log into your Bandai Namco EP!C account or, if you don’t already have one, crease one.
If you’re selected to take part in the Closed Network Test, you’ll be able to play the game on PS4, PS5, Xbox One or Xbox Series X/S during the following times:
- November 12: 12:00 to 15:00 CET
- November 13: 4:00 to 7:00 CET
- November 13: 20:00 to 23:00 CET
- November 14: 12:00 to 15:00 CET
- November 15: 4:00 to 7:00 CET
