Available today, WRC 10’s latest update adds a new rally, new cars and three new anniversary events.
It doesn’t include the ability to turn your Subaru Impreza into a giant robot, something we’ve been craving since we got our hands on Transformers Alternators Smokescreen, but the rest of the free content should add a little extra mileage to the rally game.
The free rally is the Renties Ypres Rally, added to the rally calendar this year, taking place in Belgium, complete with a new track. There’s also three new historical events, the 1980 Rally Portugal, the 1981 Rally Finland and the 2017 Rally Portugal, which take place on existing tracks. Finally, there are three new cars, which figured into the aforementioned historical rallies, the Fiat 131 Abarth, the Ford Escort MkII.
But should you be playing WRC 10 at all? If you’re a rally fan, the answer is a resounding yes. We game it a lofty 8 out of 10 in our review, saying that “..there’s still a little room for improvement, but WRC 10 is undoubtedly the best rally game you can buy right now.”
WRC 10’s October update should be available now on all platforms. You can pick the full game up on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, with a Nintendo Switch release coming later.
