If you’re a fan of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba and have been holding off picking up the recent videogame adaptation, now might be the time to jump in.
In line with its post-launch plans, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles has received another update, this time adding in two new demons for use in Versus mode, and a 60fps option when playing on PS5, Xbox Series X, or PC.
Players simply need to update Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles to be able to play as Yahaba and Susamaru, a duo of demons who team up to battle protagonist Tanjiro in the game’s story mode. Yahaba has eyes on both hands, which can mysterious create arrows which he then controls with his Blood Demon Art. Susamaru, on the other hand, attacks with decorative thread balls called mari.
In addition to the new demons, new online missions have also been added. Players can complete them to earn Kimetsu Points, allowing them to unlock new rewards including quotes and profile photos.
For those who play Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles on PS5, Xbox Series X or PC, however, the best thing about update 1.20 will be the introduction of 60fps mode. Making the gameplay much more fluid, it will really allow the combat to shine. It’s just a shame that it only applies to controllable sections of Story mode and offline Versus mode.
