As you race around Mexico in Forza Horizon 5 you’ll be addressed vocally by your name, further immersing you in the action.
That is, unless the game has got your name wrong. You see, Forza Horizon 5 gets your name from who knows where when you first start playing, and so it might not be right. It doesn’t prompt you to select a name when creating your character, either. If your name is wrong, however, or you just want to be called something else, it can easily be changed.
To change your name in Forza Horizon 5, you first need to go to a festival site or a house that you own. Thankfully you can do that quickly via the pause menu, or you can drive to one. Once you’re at a festival site or house and have entered it, press the right shoulder button on your controller to go to the My Festival tab. There, you should see a Select Your Name option.
There are two lots of names you can choose from. One tab is full of sensible names, like Richard. The other is full of nicknames that are a bit more daft, such as Bantasaurus Rex. Use the left and right shoulder buttons to switch between them. Look through the names available until you’ve found the one for you then select it.
You can change your name as often as you like, so if you’re not happy with your choice you don’t have to stick with it. Go with your real name and keep it, or change it to daft things every once in a while. It’s up to you.
