How to Play With Friends in Call of Duty: Vanguard

Call of Duty Vanguard 4

Games like Call of Duty: Vanguard are fun when played alone. But they’re even better when you play them with friends.

Unfortunately you’ll find Call of Duty: Vanguard‘s campaign to be a strictly single-player experience, so you’ll have to save that for when no friends are available to play with you. When it comes to Zombies and Multiplayer, however, they’re best enjoyed with one or more friends in tow.

To play with your friends in Zombies or Multiplayer, simply head into either portion of the game, then party up. Ideally, the designated party leader should head to the Social tab, and then invite the others from there. Up to four players can party up, moving from one match to another together. The only time you might run into trouble is if some of those friends aren’t playing on the same format. To see them in the social tab, you’ll have to make sure you’re all friends via your Activision accounts. You may also need to ensure that cross-play is turned on. It usually is by default, but it might have got turned off by accident.

Call of Duty: Vanguard also features a clan system, that makes it easier for friends to find each other and earn rewards. When playing with others in a clan, for example, you earn 10% extra experience. Exclusive cosmetics are also available. So, if you’re going to be playing with friends on a regular basis, make sure you all set up or join  the same clan.

The last thing to note is that Multiplayer can can also be played in split-screen; simply connect more than one pad, and another player can join in the multiplayer action locally. You can then take the action online, or set up an offline private match. the latter, though, won’t gain you any progress.
