This month, PlayStation Now invites you to join the Mafia, go mountain climbing, save a fantasy kingdom and ruin someone’s parcels.
As of later today you’ll be able to download all November’s new PlayStation Now offerings, provided you subscribe to Sony’s game subscription service. The four new games are:
So are these games worth playing? In the case of Mafia, Celeste and Final Fantasy IX, absolutely. While we haven’t reviewed Celeste, this emotionally-driven platformer featured in our The Best Platform Games on PlayStation 4 list. Likewise, back in 2016, Final Fantasy IX made its way onto our Games That Changed Our Lives list, so this remastered version of the 2000 original should be well worth your time.
As for Mafia: Definitive Edition, we called it “a fantastic remake of the original game..an offer you can’t refuse”, though you can expect this open world game to have significantly more blood than Celeste or FFIX. Totally Reliable Delivery Service is also a lot of fun, but it’s best played as a couch co-op game, just so you can complain when someone fumbles one of this physics-based game’s parcels.
All four titles can be played on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 and all should be later today. But be warned, Mafia leaves PlayStation Now on Monday February 28th, and the other titles may leave the service at some point later down the line.
