Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown is getting not one, not two, but three new “cutting edge” aircraft.
The planes in question are the F/A-18F Super Hornet Block III, the F-2A -Super Kai- and the MiG-35D. All three are currently in use, with the MiG-35D entering service in 2019, the year Ace Combat 7 first came out.
True, it’s not the Top Gun crossover you might have been hoping for but if you’ve played Ace Combat 7, you’ve got the the excuse to dust off your joypad or PSVR headset and take to the skies once more. We certainly had a blast playing and reviewing the game, saying that its “moment-to-moment gameplay is simply ace”.
However, there’s a bit of a catch. The three craft, bundled together as the Cutting-edge Aircraft Series, also come with different skins as well as new skins and emblems for existing planes and pilots. However, the asking price is £9.99, which seems a little steep for three aircraft; the game itself can be had for £16.99.
Still, you can check out the planes in action above which should help you decide whether they’re worth your hard earned cash. The pack is available now for PC, PlayStation and Xbox and will require the full version of Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown.
