F.I.S.T: Forged in Shadow Torch’s Latest Update adds a Boss Mode and More

F.I.S.T.: Forged in Shadow Torch has a new update and we’re trying so hard not to come out with a torrent of filthy puns.

Perhaps if we stick to the facts we can avoid any “incidents”. We reviewed this large-handed Metroidvania back in September, calling it “one of the most enjoyable Metroidvanias you can play right now.” This new patch has added a variety of new features which should bolster the game’s replayability.

Firstly, F.I.S.T. now has a boss mode, letting you take your rabbit hero into battle against any of the monsters you’ve already fought. You’d think having a massive mechanical hand would make things a breeze but, as you’ll discover, that’s definitely not the case. On top of that, there’s a nightmare” boss mode, just in case fighting them the first time around wasn’t testing enough.

The update, out now on PC, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 also adds an in-game soundtrack and art-book. On top of being available through Steam, F.I.S.T. has now joined the Epic Game Store and, on top of that, there’ll be discounts available through all these stores. The discounts are as follows:

Steam Winter Sale:
2021 Dec. 22nd to 2022 Jan. 5th, 15% off globally

Epic Launch and Holiday Sale:
2021 Dec 14th to 2022 Jan. 6th, 15% off globally

PlayStation Holiday Sale:
2021 Dec. 22nd to 2022 Jan 7th., 20% off + 5% off for EU and NA regions

So if you’ve not sampled F.I.S.T.: Forged in Shadow Torch, now’s the time to take it up.
