Just when you thought 505 Games, One More Level, All In! Games, 3D Realms and Irongate Slipworks were done with Ghostrunner, another piece of content is announced.
What’s different about this one, however, is that it’s a bit more meaty. Launching 27th January, Project_Hel is a campaign expansion that offers six new levels to play through. And you won’t be doing it as the Ghostrunner. Instead you’ll be playing as Hel, one of the game’s bosses, and descending Dharma Tower on a new quest.
Originally planned as a smaller DLC, Project_Hel will no doubt be the biggest piece of post-launch content for Ghostrunner yet. It’s designed to appeal to new and veteran players, with Hel being more combat-oriented. It means she can survive an additional attack, and will have her own ability progression system. The expansion won’t be a free though; players will need to pay £12.49 to access it.
Some lucky players will be able to try out Project_Hel before its official launch in January. Simply sign up here, and you might be selected to participate in a upcoming early private beta.
In other Ghostrunner news, a free cosmetic Holiday pack is also on the way on 7th December. It will include a free festive sword and glove bundle, so make sure you claim it if you have the game. If you don’t, check out our review. Ghostrunner was one of the best games of 2020, and it’s only been improved since, with the PS5 version being particularly impressive.
