A Memoir Blue, originally swimming its way onto the scene next month, has been delayed until March.
Dubbed an “interactive poem”, it was set to arrive this February 10th, but has been delayed to ensure it “launches in its best form.” Obvious “final form” jokes aside, it’s far from the only game to run into a delay, to the point where it’s become the norm. However, given what we’ve seen of A Memoir Blue, we’re more than happy to wait.
No, that’s not just because Dying Light 2: Stay Human is, Nintendo Switch aside, also coming out in early February. A Memoir Blue, to our knowledge, contains no shambling corpses but it is an exploration of the relationship between an woman and her estranged mother.
What makes it particularly interesting is that it’s the protagonist’s commitment to Olympic swimming that drove a wedge between the two. She chose to pursue her dreams, while her mother seemingly wanted her to follow a more mundane career. At least, that’s what the trailer implies, we wouldn’t be surprised if the final game turns things on its heads.
We’ll be able to find out this March 24th which is when A Memoir Blue hits the Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One (and Xbox Game Pass), PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. In the meantime you can check out the above trailer or wishlist it on Steam.
