N64 Classic Banjo-Kazooie is Now Playable on Nintendo Switch

Remember Banjo-KazooieOf course you do. This classic is now playable on Nintendo Switch if you’re a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack member.

Nintendo 64 games are now available via Nintendo Switch Online if you choose to pay the Expansion Pack upgrade price. And from today, Banjo-Kazooie has joined the line-up.

From Rare, this 3D platformer casts players as the titular bear-and-bird duo as they set out on a colourful, action-packed adventure. Seriously, this was peak N64 gaming.

If you’re a subscriber, then, simply head to the Nintendo Switch Online app on your console and you can play Banjo-Kazooie right away. It joins existing Nintendo 64 titles, like Super Mario 64, Starfox 64, Ocarina of Time and Yoshi’s Story, along with selected SEGA Mega Drive games like Ecco the DolphinGolden Axe and Sonic the Hedgehog 2.

That’s not all: things get even better next month when Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask joins the service. Arguably one of the best Zelda games ever released, Majora’s Mask tasks Link with saving the world before the moon crashes into it. Heavy stuff. It’ll be available to play from February.

A Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership costs £34.99 a year. Alternatively, a Family membership is available for £59.99, which allows access for up to eight accounts. A seven-day free trial is available for new members. More information is available on Nintendo’s website.
