Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is free on Prime Gaming, along with World War Z: Aftermath and seven other PC titles.
True, Cal Kestis is as interesting is a block of balsa wood but the game itself is a ridiculous amount of fun. This action-adventure sees you fleeing the Empire who, after Revenge of the Sith’s Jedi Purge, are looking to finish off any stragglers. Think Lara Croft with lightsaber and you’ve got the idea.
Reviewing Fallen Order we said, “Its blend of action and adventure works brilliantly for the most part, and once you’ve acquired all of the powers at your disposal, you do often truly feel like a Jedi”. And now, as long as you’re an Amazon Prime subscriber you can get the PC version absolutely free.
But that’s not all. Left 4 Dead style squad shooter World War Z: Aftermath, the expanded version of the original World War Z is also free. In total, there are nine games on offer:
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (Origin)
Total War: Warhammer (Epic Games Store)
World War Z: Aftermath (Epic Games Store)
Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered (Amazon Games App)
Paper Beast – Folded Edition (Amazon Games App)
WRC 7 FIA World Rally Championship (Amazon Games App)
Abandon Ship (Amazon Games App)
In Other Waters (Amazon Games App)
Two Point Hospital (Amazon Games App)
We haven’t tackled Abandon Ship or In Other Waters and, remastered or not, Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy’s is showing its age. The other freebies, however, are absolutely worth your time. Two Point Hospital, in particular, is a superb, silly hospital sim, the spiritual successor to Theme Hospital.
So how do you get your hands on these games? First, you need to be an Amazon Prime subscriber, then you need to jump onto Amazon’s Prime Gaming page. Fallen Order will need to be redeemed through Origin, publisher EA’s own Steam-style app, others are redeemed through the Epic Games Store and the rest require Amazon’s Games App.
There’s also a range of other DLC on offer, including outfits for Dead by Daylight. You can peruse this month’s Prime Gaming offerings here.
