Skateboard Sim Session’s New Trailer Reveals its Community Clip Winners

Session Community Trailer

Skateboard sim Session may be in Early Access but that didn’t stop creators crea-ture Studios Inc and publishers Nacon from launching a clip competition.

In fact, it’s a smart way to drum up interest in a game and now you can see the picks of those clips, created using the in-game video editor, in one short trailer. Even better, absolutely no-one passes through the floor and into the void beneath Session’s city playground. Nacon and crea-ture chose three winners, along with several honorable mentions all of which can be viewed in the trailer below.

The overall winner was Roda.Hero whose montage, concludes with him clearing a traffic cone. You can assume Roda.Hero’s avatar was sober, otherwise he’d have taken the cone back to his dorm like some kind of trophy, then thrown it into a skip when he didn’t know what else to do with it.

But.. hang on a minute – our “for exposure” senses are tingling. The good news is that the top three clips did get a prize, a $400, $200 or $100 for the No Comply skateshop. The “honorable mentions” probably didn’t get paid but it’s still not a patch on the massively questionable Billie Eilish merch design contest.

You can check out our impressions of Session here, and get your hands on the game on PC (through Steam Early Access) and Xbox (through Xbox Game Preview) right now.

Weekend Editor // Chris has been gaming since the days of the Acorn Electron, which was allegedly purchased to 'help him with his homework'. You can probably guess how well that went. He’ll tackle most genres – football titles aside – though he has a taste for games that that are post-apocalyptic, horror-oriented or thought provoking in nature.
