Steam Next Fest is Now Live With Hundreds of Free Game Demos

Steam Next Fest

Steam Next Fest is now live, presenting gamers with hundreds of free demos and livestreams for the next seven days.

Steam Next Fest is essentially a digital games festival offering gamers access to new and upcoming games. Be it a steam led by the developer or a demo that allows you to get hands-on yourself, there’s something for everyone. And it’s all accessible without needing to leave the house.

From Next Fest’s homepage, you can browse a broadcast schedule of upcoming livestreams, as well as browse a list of demos which can be filtered by your personal preferences. Some demos will remain live on Steam once Next Fest has finished, while others will only be there for the duration, which is from today until 28th February. So if you like the look of something, don’t delay in giving it a go.

We’ll have plenty of coverage from Steam Next Fest over the next week here at GameSpew, where we’ll be highlighting some of the best demos to check out and providing our own hands-on impressions of games. You’ll find all that coverage here, or by keeping an eye on our homepage.

So far we’ve checked out Kao the Kangaroo and A Little to the Left – both of which we heartily recommend. We’ll have more impressions soon.

You don’t need a Steam account to view the livestreams, but you will need to be signed in to download and play the demos. Make sure you take part, because there are some wonderful titles to be demoed.

Editor in chief // Kim's been into video games since playing Dizzy on her brother's Commodore 64 as a nipper. She'll give just about anything a go, but she's got a particular soft spot for indie adventures. If she's not gaming, she'll be building Lego, reading a thriller, watching something spooky or... asleep. She does love to sleep.
