Cyberpunk 2077 has a new patch which, amongst other things, has removed the action-RPG’s murderwall.
Sadly, we missed out on the wall of doom but the patch notes reveal that “Walking into a wall in the elevator in Megabuilding H8 will no longer cause instant death”. Admittedly, as bugs go, it’s not the worst we’ve seen. We were lucky enough to avoid the worst, but those playing on last-gen consoles had a rough time of it, particularly performance wise.
Most of the issues addressed by Cyberpunk 2077’s 1.52 patch relate to quest issues, including some that were “blocking progression”. In other words, if that issue arose, you’d never be able to complete that quest. One such now-fixed bug related to the quest “The Information”, meaning you’d be unable to finish the game as it’s a main quest. Nasty.
You can find the full list of fixes here. We’d expect there to be a few more patches but developer CD Projekt Red will be concentrating on a) The new Witcher game and b) the bigger Cyberpunk 2077 expansion that’s apparently still on the way. But with the next-gen patch out, why not take a trip back to Night City, just to see what you might have missed out on. Murderwalls, aside, that is.
