How Long Does it Take to Beat Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin?

Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin review 2

Taking the original Final Fantasy as inspiration, Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is a Final Fantasy game like no other.

Developed by Koei Tecmo’s Team Ninja, its gameplay is reminiscent of Nioh, but spliced with Final Fantasy elements to create an experience that feels wholly unique. Ultimately, this is a fast-paced action RPG that’s darker in tone that your usual Final Fantasy game, filled with so much loot it will be coming out of your ears. But you might be wondering: just how long does it takes to beat Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin?

The answer is: it depends on what difficulty you play it on, and what you determine as “beating it”. Play Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin on its Story difficulty setting and chances are you’ll have little difficulty moving from one main mission to the next, allowing you to beat its story in around 20 hours or so. Step up to Action difficulty, however, and you’ll find yourself challenged, and will have to complete side missions between main missions to obtain better gear. That means you’re likely to end up playing it for 30-40 hours to complete the story.

There’s hard difficulty to take into consideration too, which will add yet more playing time. While those seeking to get all of the game’s achievements or trophies will have to play on the game’s unlockable Chaos difficulty level.

So, the minimum amount of time it will take you you to beat Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is 20 hours, but for most it will be a 30-40 hour affair. And those aiming to complete everything it has to offer may well end up spending 60 or more hours with it.
