The Kaito Files, Lost Judgment’s Story Expansion, is Out Now

Lost Judgment: The Kaito Files

Are you ready for more Lost Judgment to jump into? Then we come bearing good news.

SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studios’ Lost Judgment was a hit with us – and most other critics – when it released back in September last year. It was followed up by the School Stories expansion, and now there’s a whole new story to play through. The Kaito Files adds four all-new chapters to Lost Judgment, giving players plenty of reason to jump back in.

The Kaito Files lets players take on the role of Masaharu Kaito, the ‘muscle’ of the Yagami Detective Agency. As Kaito, you’ll get to experience a new point of view and unravel part of his past as you make your way through a new case. You see, a teenager called Jun shows up, claiming to be the son of Kaito and an old flame, Mikiko. Kaito is intent on tracking her down to find out the truth, but doing so will uncover more than he bargained for.

It isn’t all detective work, of course. Combat plays a big part of Lost Judgment, and Kaito’s got his own fighting style. Players will be able to switch between Bruiser and Tank styles, mixing aggression with defence. The streets of Kamurocho have had a wealth of new collectibles sprinkled into them, too, so there’s new reason to go back exploring.

If you own Lost Judgment‘s Ultimate Edition or Season Pass, then you can play The Kaito Files at no extra cost. Otherwise, the DLC is priced at $29.99 or your local equivalent to buy separately.
