Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising, prequel to the much anticipated Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, is landing this May.
Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is a fully-fledged JRPG, currently being developed by Yoshitaka Murayama and Junko Kuwano, two key figures from the Suikoden series. However, the Kickstarter proved so wildly popular that it raised nearly £3,000,000, ten times its target. So, we’re getting Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising, an action-RPG prequel to Hundred Heroes.
Instead of being developed by Rabbit and Bear Studios, who are making the main game, it’s the work of Natsume Atari. We previewed Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising in March, remarking that “.. it could be the start of something rather special”, and we’re eager to carry on our journey.
As it turns out, we won’t have long to wait. Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising hits PlayStation 4|5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC this May 10th. Sadly, the Nokia N-Gage has been left out but all the other platforms are covered. It’ll also be arriving on Xbox Game Pass, as will Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes when that arrives some time next year.
In the meantime, you can check out the gameplay trailer above, wishlist Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising on Steam or check out our preview here.
