We’re not kidding when we say PowerA’s Rainbow Run Mario Switch case is one of the nicest we’ve seen. We love that it’s not too ‘in your face’; the understated design is elegant, but that silhouette is still unmistakeably Mario. Inside you’ll find a purple inlay that includes storage for 10 cartridges. It also comes with a removable foam insert which makes it ideal for carrying a Switch Lite.
Mario Pop Art Wired Controller
PowerA has made over one hundred different controllers for Nintendo Switch. Phew. There’s pretty much any design you can think of – Hades, Zelda, Metroid Dread, Pokémon… the list goes on. You can browse them all here, in fact. But of course, one face that pops up again and again is Mario’s. We love the blue hues on the Mario Pop Art controller. Super Mario Compact PlayStand
At just $12.99, a PlayStand from Hori makes an ideal accessory if you like to play Switch on the go. Sometimes, holding your Switch handheld isn’t ideal. And some games call for the Joy-Cons to be detached. The PlayStand lets you comfortably dock your Switch on the go, and its design means it can be plugged into the mains as you play. It’s great for taking over to a friend’s house without needing to pack up your full dock.
Mario Kart Racing Wheel Pro Mini
Not many games require the use of a steering wheel on Switch, but there’s one game that becomes instantly more fun when behind the wheel. That is, of course, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. This Hori Racing Wheel Pro certainly looks the part, with its colour scheme based on Mario’s outfit. It’s one of the pricier Nintendo Switch accessories, coming in at $69.99, but if you play a lot of Mario Kart, we’d say it’s worth it. It includes pedals too, so you can brake and accelerate just like you’re in a real kart.
Mario Game Card Storage Case
Now, decanting our Switch games out of their cases and into a holster fills us with dread. But if you’re the type of monster person who likes to do this, then you might like this Mario Game Card Storage Case. It holds up to 12 cartridges in a handy snap-close case. Jokes aside, this is super handy when you’re travelling, as not every Switch case has room inside for games. And if you own a lot of physical games, it’s nice to have a selection of them with you. Just don’t lose it, for the love of god.
