Ubisoft Has Shut Down Servers For Over 90 Games

If you’re still playing older Ubisoft games, you might want to take note: the company has just shut down servers for over 90 titles.

With this move, it means that online features for these games will no longer work. Any multiplayer modes will no longer be accessible, player statistics won’t work, and any games that use Ubisoft Connect services will no longer have related to challenges.

On console, this primarily affects games on PS3 and Xbox 360, although there’s an awful lot of older PC titles also seeing the same fate. On PS4, the only titles to be affected are Just Dance 2014 and 2015. The same goes for Xbox One, where Kinect-powered game Shape Up has also had its servers turned off.

On PC, the most noteworthy games are Assassin’s Creed 2, Far Cry and Far Cry 2 losing their online functions. There’s also a handful of Might & Magic Titles, and Rainbow Six Vegas and its sequel. All Rayman games and older Settlers games have also been taken offline.
